Payments Consultant – Banking Solutions

About the role

The Payments Consultant will work with banking clients to document, model, and refine their payment‑related business processes. The role involves testing, training, and supporting the implementation of banking solutions across cards, transfers, checks, cash and emerging payment methods.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and design customer business requirements in the payments domain.
• Identify, document and report product deficiencies or enhancement opportunities.
• Enforce project deadlines and maintain schedules.
• Deliver training sessions for customers and internal teams on solution functionalities.
• Prepare periodic progress reports in coordination with project or department managers.
• Provide pre‑sales support and product demonstrations.
• Assist the support team when required and ensure timely delivery of client requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the payments industry.
• Fluent in Arabic, English and French.
• Strong analytical thinking, customer focus, high commitment and credibility, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and effective time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience in payments project/product/process management.
• Knowledge of core payment message formats (SEPA, ISO20022, etc.).
• Expertise in payment cards issuing and acquiring processes.
• Familiarity with alternative payment methods and innovations (e‑commerce, blockchain).
• Experience with open‑banking APIs and embedded‑payment ecosystems.
• Business requirements gathering and process design in the payments area.
• In‑depth knowledge of payment channels and related processes (SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS, ACH, card ISO interfaces, check management).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
