Patient Services Specialist – Spanish/English Speakers

About the role

The Patient Services Specialist will play a vital role at myteem, handling inbound and outbound calls with patients, preparing charts by obtaining medical information, and providing assistance by answering questions and addressing concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with patients via phone calls in a professional and empathetic manner, handling inbound inquiries and making outbound appointment reminders.
• Collect and organize patients' medical information to prepare accurate and up‑to‑date charts.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patients' questions, concerns, and requests promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and enter data into electronic systems with precision.
• Issue prior authorizations to insurance companies for treatments or prescriptions.

Required profile

• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate approach.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Proficiency with computer systems, data entry, and electronic medical records.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting or customer service is preferred, but training will be provided.
