Operations and Customer Service Officer

About the role

The Operations and Customer Service Officer ensures the company’s inventory is accurately tracked and supports the sales team by managing orders, returns and clearance processes. This role combines operational oversight with customer‑service coordination to keep stock flowing smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an up‑to‑date overview of inventory levels at all times.
• Place purchase orders with suppliers following company protocol and in coordination with the sales department.
• Coordinate with clearance agents to manage customs clearance and receipt of goods.
• Resolve mismatched items with suppliers or customs authorities.
• Enter incoming and outgoing inventory data into the company software, excluding sales orders.
• Process product returns efficiently.
• Provide the sales team and management with item turnover analysis.
• Generate weekly reports on near‑expiry goods for sales and inventory management.
• Identify and report any stock losses or unexpected additions.
• Monitor consignment items, ensuring retrieval before expiry or sale and update reports regularly.
• Assist with operational or administrative tasks such as printing promotional materials, renewing subscriptions, etc.
• Submit daily activity and achievement reports to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of experience in inventory, operations, logistics or administrative roles.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational ability and analytical mindset.
• Proficiency in English and ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
• Proactive attitude with the capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
