Open-rank Faculty Position in Conflict Resolution

About the role

The Department of Political Science and International Studies invites applications for a tenure‑track faculty position in Conflict Resolution. The successful candidate will be expected to excel in teaching, research, and academic advising while contributing to community engagement and institutional development.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Conflict Resolution on the Beirut and Byblos campuses.
• Develop and deliver innovative, evidence‑based, experiential courses.
• Supervise senior projects, MA theses and other student research.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in their academic and professional development.
• Maintain an active research program, publish scholarly work, and seek external funding.
• Contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation activities.
• Build academic and professional partnerships with local, regional and international organizations.
• Engage in departmental, university and community service related to conflict prevention, peacebuilding and mediation.

Required profile

• PhD in Conflict Resolution from a recognized university.
• Specialization in diplomacy, negotiation, and mediation.
• Demonstrated research and publication record.
• Evidence of teaching experience at the university level.
