Multimedia Producer / Videographer

About the role

BADIL is seeking a part‑time Multimedia Producer / Videographer to strengthen its editorial engine and deliver high‑quality video content across research, policy and advocacy outputs. The role works under a retainer arrangement and reports to the Managing Editor.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with editorial and policy teams to generate video ideas, draft scripts and shape episode structures.
• Film interviews, explainers, social‑media videos, studio segments and events, handling cameras, lighting, sound and basic production setups.
• Edit footage from rough cut to final export, including pacing, sound treatment, colour correction, subtitles, captions, graphics integration and platform‑specific formatting.
• Produce multiple cuts for social media, website, newsletters and advocacy use, and deliver final files in correct technical specifications.
• Coordinate with editors on briefs, timelines, feedback rounds and delivery schedules, managing the full production workflow from concept to archiving.
• Assist in developing BADIL’s media room by identifying, sourcing and purchasing equipment within an allocated budget.

Required profile

• Proven experience in end‑to‑end videography and video editing.
• Ability to understand and translate policy, political or current‑affairs topics into clear visual narratives.
• Strong visual sense and editorial instinct for audience‑facing digital formats.
• Good Arabic and English language skills.
• Capacity to work quickly, reliably and independently while incorporating feedback.
