Mid-Level Go Software Engineer – Payments Platform

About the role

Aspire Software is seeking a mid‑level Go engineer to design, build, and operate microservices that power its payments platform. You will own services end‑to‑end, from API design through production deployment, in a domain where correctness, security, and reliability are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Go microservices (HTTP APIs, sidecars, background processors) for payment authorization, tokenization, settlement and reporting.
• Write clean, well‑tested Go code with table‑driven unit tests, mocks and meaningful coverage.
• Profile and tune services for high throughput and low latency using pprof and benchmarking.
• Integrate with relational and NoSQL stores (MySQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL) and design robust schemas and migrations.
• Containerize services with multi‑stage Docker builds and deliver them via CI/CD pipelines to AWS ECS.
• Implement security controls in line with PCI DSS, including data masking, TLS, and secrets management.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, on‑call rotation and incident response.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code and Cursor responsibly.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong background in building and operating backend services in Go.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of services.
