Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Jedson Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead and execute mechanical and process design work for a variety of industrial projects. You will work on projects spanning power, chemical, pulp & paper, food & beverage, life sciences, and consumer products, delivering engineering solutions from single‑unit upgrades to multi‑phase plant implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or execute process designs, producing calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, GA drawings, specifications, and design basis documents.
• Select and integrate mechanical equipment such as turbines, boilers, HRSGs, heat exchangers, compressors, pumps, water‑treatment systems, and control valves.
• Generate plant heat, material, and water balances and develop piping systems and isometric drawings.
• Support DCS control‑system logic design and perform QA reviews of interdisciplinary work products.
• Assist the proposal team with scope descriptions, cost estimates, and deliverable lists.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure designs meet codes, standards, and project objectives.

Required profile

• BS in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience coordinating detailed phases of engineering projects.

Required skills

• Process design calculations and documentation (PFD, P&ID, GA drawings).

• Piping system design and isometric drawing preparation.
• DCS control‑system logic support.
