Major Gifts Officer

About the role

The Major Gifts Officer will lead frontline fundraising for the School of Pharmacy, the School of Nursing, and two LAU Medical Centers. Reporting to the Director of Development, the role requires regular presence on the Beirut and Byblos campuses and occasional travel to medical sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy in partnership with deans, faculty, and hospital leadership.
• Build and manage a portfolio of major‑gift prospects, conducting targeted visits and virtual meetings.
• Identify, qualify, and cultivate new donors through research, alumni engagement, and referrals.
• Prepare customized proposals, donor briefings, and stewardship materials aligned with institutional priorities.
• Track fundraising metrics, maintain accurate records in Raiser's Edge NXT, and report progress toward goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Biological Sciences, Healthcare or Public Health preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of frontline fundraising experience, preferably in a hospital or academic health setting.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Fluent in English and Arabic with excellent written and verbal abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Raiser's Edge NXT (CRM system).
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
