Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Maintenance Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Engineering (ADOE) and leads the hotel’s engineering and maintenance team. The role ensures that all corrective and preventive maintenance activities are performed efficiently, keeping the building, equipment, and fire‑life‑safety systems in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and motivate the hotel maintenance team on a daily basis.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day repairs and preventive maintenance for all engineering assets, including fire, life and safety systems.
• Prepare and follow up on weekly, monthly, and ad‑hoc inspection reports for ADOE approval.
• Maintain fire‑life‑safety equipment to first‑class standards and ensure the response team is fully trained.
• Develop and monitor energy‑conservation programs to meet budget targets.
• Compile monthly consumption reports for electricity, gas, steam, and water.
• Manage purchase requisitions and liaise with suppliers for 24‑hour emergency services.
• Ensure all public‑area lighting and engineering areas are regularly inspected and kept in good order.
• Oversee inter‑departmental communication and foster good relationships with other hotel teams.

Required profile

• Proven ability to supervise and evaluate engineering staff.
• Strong knowledge of hotel building systems and fire‑life‑safety standards.
• Experience in planning and executing preventive maintenance programs.
