Livelihoods & Economic Justice Advisor

About the role

The Livelihoods & Economic Justice Advisor provides high‑quality technical support to Oxfam and its partners in Lebanon, focusing on agriculture, food systems, livelihoods recovery and business development. The role drives programme learning, evidence generation and scaling‑up of effective interventions while integrating cash‑based modalities, finance access and social protection.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely technical assistance on economic justice, agricultural value chains and job creation.
• Promote continuous improvement of programme quality and effectiveness.
• Produce evidence that underpins advocacy and campaign work.
• Identify scaling‑up opportunities and develop new project ideas aligned with local economic needs.
• Integrate cash‑based modalities, access to finance, social protection and safety nets into programme design.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in international humanitarian or development work, preferably in the MENA region.
• Substantive focus on agriculture, livelihoods, food security or rural/enterprise development.
• Proven technical expertise in agricultural value chains, cooperative or MSME support, market‑systems facilitation or food‑systems programming in fragile or conflict‑affected contexts.
• Strong understanding of food‑security frameworks and how livelihoods contribute to outcomes.
• Commitment to Oxfam’s mission and feminist principles of empowerment, accountability and inclusion.
