About the role
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking a Legal Assistant to support the Integrity In Action (IACT) project in Lebanon. This short‑term assignment, based in Beirut, will contribute to the operationalisation of anti‑corruption mechanisms and the strengthening of legal frameworks.
Key responsibilities
- Review the Terms of Reference (TOR) and related legal documents for the IACT project.
- Assist in analysing Lebanon’s anti‑corruption legislation, including the National Anti‑Corruption Strategy and recent reforms.
- Provide legal research and drafting support for project outputs, such as reports and policy briefs.
- Support coordination with the Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR) and other oversight institutions.
- Contribute to the preparation of documentation required for project monitoring and evaluation.
Required profile
- National consultancy – applicant must be based in Lebanon.
- Relevant legal education (law degree or equivalent).
- Experience in legal research, drafting, or advisory work, preferably in the public sector.
- Familiarity with anti‑corruption frameworks and public‑sector reforms is an advantage.
Required skills
- Legal research and analysis.
- Drafting of legal documents and reports.
