Junior Software Engineer – Fully Remote

About the role

EXUS is looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join its Project Engineering Team on a fully remote basis. You will work with an international group of professionals delivering market‑leading collection software to financial institutions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Delivery and Customer Success teams to implement and improve the product.
• Participate in analysis, design, implementation, testing, and review of development modules.
• Execute technical tasks under senior guidance and assist in troubleshooting and debugging.
• Apply best development practices, coding standards, and product architecture.
• Contribute to project delivery activities while continuously developing technical skills.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in ICT, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong willingness to learn new technologies and improve technical abilities.
• Customer‑focused attitude with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English (French is a plus).
• Reliability in delivering assigned tasks on time.

Required skills

• Fundamental knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or similar RDBMS.
• Basic understanding of ETL principles.
• Knowledge of server‑side languages such as .NET and Java.
• Familiarity with web technologies and Internet protocols (e.g., XML).
