Junior Quant Analyst – Equity Asset Management

About the role

Arqaam Capital Group is seeking a motivated Junior Quant Analyst to support its Equity Asset Management team. Working closely with the Head of Quantitative Strategies, you will help manage quantitative equity portfolios across MENA markets while developing your expertise in data‑driven investing.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage quantitative equity portfolios on a daily basis.
• Maintain portfolio models, dashboards, and performance reports.
• Assist with portfolio rebalancing, trade preparation, and execution monitoring.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance factor‑based investment models.
• Collect, clean, and analyse market data from Bloomberg and other sources.
• Automate investment processes using Python and SQL.
• Perform portfolio analytics, attribution, risk monitoring, and performance measurement.
• Back‑test quantitative strategies and evaluate new investment signals.
• Track corporate actions, index changes, earnings announcements, and other market events.
• Prepare investment presentations, research reports, and client materials.
• Contribute to improving internal tools, automation, and reporting workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related quantitative discipline.
• Good understanding of financial markets, equity investments and portfolio management concepts.
• Progress toward or completion of the CFA designation is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English.
