About the role
The Junior Accountant will support daily and monthly accounting operations for OMT agents, locations, and third‑party accounts. This role ensures accurate settlement transfers, balance reporting, and reconciliations while collaborating with internal teams and external banks.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and process settlement transfers to third parties, including documentation, payment requests, and debit notes.
- Perform daily bank and OMT reconciliations, contacting banks to resolve any discrepancies.
- Create OMT agent user accounts, upload balances and e‑statements, and validate daily agent activities.
- Assist billers with their requests and manage Western Union account bookings and settlements.
Required profile
- University degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting, Audit, or Finance.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, accounts reconciliation, or a related field.
- Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
