Junior Accountant - FMCG

About the role

We are looking for a commercially driven Junior Accountant to support and grow our FMCG business in Côte d’Ivoire or Togo. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting with statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Support inventory reconciliation and fixed‑asset record keeping.
• Assist in preparing VAT, withholding tax and other statutory filings.
• Prepare payment vouchers with proper documentation.
• Help monitor budgets and analyse expenses.
• Maintain organized accounting files and support internal and external audits.
• Perform other finance duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Prior experience in Côte d’Ivoire, Togo or West Africa is strongly preferred.
• Fluent in French; English is an advantage.
• Strong reporting abilities and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Non‑Lebanese passport and valid travel documentation preferred.
