Junior Accountant (Beirut)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Beirut. The role involves supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with financial reporting using QuickBooks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date general ledger accounts and accounting records.
• Prepare and assist with monthly financial reports and schedules.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment tracking.
• Record and review journal entries, expenses, and other financial transactions.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain supporting documentation for all financial transactions.
• Monitor expenses and ensure proper account classification.
• Use QuickBooks for daily accounting and record‑keeping.
• Prepare reports using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Support internal financial reviews and provide required information.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company data.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or service environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with Finance and Operations teams.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
