IT Support Administrator

About the role

The Information Technology Department is seeking an IT Support Administrator to ensure reliable operation of the university’s hardware, software, and peripheral devices. The role involves providing timely technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students while maintaining high service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot desktop and laptop applications, hardware, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Install and upgrade desktop hardware and software.
• Update ticket progress in the Helpdesk system and respond to user inquiries.
• Provide user training and technical assistance.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of equipment and emerging technology trends.
• Guide student assistants and ensure proper documentation.
• Process maintenance requests with external vendors and internal teams.
• Act as backup first‑line support for the Helpdesk to ensure continuity.
• Report status and progress to the IT Support Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written English communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on operational efficiency.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and handle confidential information.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
