Internal Auditor

About the role

Neonism SAL, a licensed fintech company in Lebanon, seeks an experienced Internal Auditor to strengthen internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with finance, IT, and compliance teams to ensure the highest standards of corporate governance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to Banque du Liban regulations, licensing provisions, and timely submission of required reports.
• Evaluate the compliance program, focusing on AML/CFT policies, E‑KYC documentation, and screening tool effectiveness.
• Test internal controls, segregation of duties, user access rights, and fraud detection mechanisms across all platforms.
• Audit financial operations, including cash movements, account transfers, and reconciliation processes, and conduct surprise cash counts.
• Review IT security measures such as data encryption, backups, and access controls to guarantee data privacy compliance.
• Assess operational efficiency, identify process gaps, and propose improvements for transaction processing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Auditing; Master’s or internal auditor certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience, preferably in a financial institution or fintech environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal‑control frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with accounting software and ability to quickly learn new systems.
