Internal Audit Manager

About the role

Sallaum Lines is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager to lead its internal audit function. You will design audit strategies that support the company’s vision of zero emissions by 2050 and ensure robust monitoring of internal controls across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and oversee the full audit cycle, including risk and control assessments.
• Develop the annual General Audit Plan covering assurance and consulting activities.
• Analyse accounting records, previous audit reports, data flows and process documentation.
• Prepare and present audit findings, recommendations and memoranda to senior management.
• Identify control weaknesses, propose risk‑mitigation measures and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Conduct follow‑up audits to verify implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain open communication with management and report irregularities to relevant authorities when required.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, best practices and emerging audit tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit, preferably within the maritime or logistics sector.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Ability to provide independent, objective advice and influence senior leadership.
• High ethical standards, integrity and sound judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
