Internal Audit Associate

About the role

Azadea Group, a lifestyle retail company operating more than 40 international franchise concepts across 15 countries in the Middle East and Africa, is hiring an Internal Audit Associate. The associate assists in executing field work and reporting comprehensive findings to the internal audit team, supporting the audit management objectives and helping improve the company's policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Compose segments of audit tests and reports in line with audit principles and standards
• Prepare internal communications, spreadsheets, matrices and other documents
• Follow up on outstanding tasks so they are addressed in a timely manner
• Identify, investigate and rectify data errors to ensure accuracy
• Coordinate with staff and departments to extract and present the necessary data
• Monitor the precision, timeliness and relevance of financial and internal control information given to audit management
• Collaborate with team members to conduct proper fieldwork and identify and analyse project risks
• Contribute to work plans, including project risk assessment and audit programmes
• Prepare presentations on risk, internal control and audit as needed
• Maintain working papers documenting the procedures performed

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Zero to two years of experience in a similar role; retail experience is a plus
• Professional qualification (CIA, CPA, ACCA) is a plus, or willingness to pursue one
