Import & Export Officer

About the role

Mets Energy is seeking an experienced Import & Export Officer to oversee and coordinate all import and export activities, ensuring smooth shipment handling, documentation, customs clearance and logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage import and export shipments from order to final delivery.
• Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates and bills of lading.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers and internal departments.
• Follow up on customs clearance and ensure timely delivery of shipments.
• Monitor shipment schedules, freight costs and related expenses.
• Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions and resolve any issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in import & export, preferably in an industrial or trading environment.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping and customs procedures and Incoterms.
• Excellent organizational, communication and follow‑up abilities.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with ERP/Navision (advantage).
