Human Resources Director – Strategic HR Leader

About the role

Medco, a centennial petroleum company operating across Lebanon, is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Director to drive its people strategy. The role will shape workforce planning, culture, and talent management to support the company’s growth and innovation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s mission, values, and long‑term goals.
• Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs to attract and keep top talent.
• Create and manage performance evaluation systems and employee development programs.
• Ensure compliance with Lebanese labor regulations and uphold HR best practices.
• Drive employee engagement, culture transformation through the MEDCO Academy, and internal communications.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all HR and people‑related matters.
• Monitor HR metrics and generate reports for leadership decision‑making.
• Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Deep understanding of Lebanese labor laws and HR best practices.
• Experience in change management and scaling HR in a growing organization.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
• HR certification (SHRM‑SCP, SPHR or equivalent) is a plus.
• Fluency in three languages (trilingual) is required.
