Head of Treasury (Beirut)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Treasury to lead our treasury function in Beirut. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing liquidity, cash flow, funding and investment activities while ensuring compliance with local regulations and Sharia requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily treasury operations and manage the bank’s investment portfolio in line with approved policies.
• Monitor liquidity, cash flow, funding needs and market conditions, including foreign exchange exposure.
• Develop and implement effective liquidity and treasury management strategies.
• Prepare and present treasury reports, forecasts and recommendations to senior management.
• Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and market counterparties.
• Ensure compliance with BDL regulations, internal policies and applicable Sharia requirements.
• Implement proper controls, procedures and risk‑management practices within the treasury function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant banking experience, with significant treasury exposure.
• Previous experience in a senior treasury role such as Treasury Manager or Head of Treasury.
• Strong knowledge of liquidity management, investments, foreign exchange and financial markets.
• Good understanding of BDL regulations and banking practices in Lebanon.
