Head of Power Department – Beirut

About the role

We are seeking a visionary engineering leader to head the Power Department at ICC Group’s headquarters in Beirut, Lebanon. The role will oversee a multi‑country portfolio of power generation, substation and distribution projects, guiding a team of around 20 engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the full EPC lifecycle for conventional and renewable power plants, substations and HV/MV/LV distribution networks, ensuring compliance with international codes.
• Lead technical negotiations with international partners, OEMs and joint‑venture partners, evaluating technologies and advising senior management on optimal solutions.
• Own pricing, cost estimation and bid strategy for power tenders, building BOQs, cost models and protecting margins.
• Manage and develop a department of roughly 20 electrical and power engineers, allocating resources across simultaneous projects in several countries.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules and technical performance remotely, with travel to sites as required.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in power engineering and EPC project delivery across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to develop accurate cost estimates and bid strategies.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients, partners, lenders and government authorities.
