Head of Base (Nationals Only)

About the role

The Head of Base will lead the overall management of the AAH base in Lebanon, ensuring smooth coordination of logistics, human resources, administration and operational support for nutrition, food security and water‑and‑sanitation programmes. The role also oversees base security, conducts risk analysis and implements protective measures for staff and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and consolidate logistics, HR, administration and operational activities across all programme areas.
• Represent AAH at the base, ensuring all departments follow AAH procedures and maintain unified management.
• Oversee security, conduct context and risk analyses and implement necessary protection measures.
• Manage programme implementation, monitor budgets, prepare reports for donors and ensure compliance with ACF‑Spain policies.
• Update the base organisational chart, line‑manage programme managers, admin and logistics staff and evaluate performance.
• Identify training needs, organise and deliver capacity‑building activities for office staff.
• Monitor financial and administrative management, including budgets, payments, tenders and procurement processes.
• Facilitate weekly staff meetings, activity planning and intra‑base coordination.

Required profile

• National of Lebanon (Nationals Only).
• Commitment to AAH procedures, internal regulations, deontology and organisational principles.
• Ability to lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams.
