Group Financial Accountant

About the role

FOMEX Group is transforming its Group Finance function and seeks a proactive Group Financial Accountant to work closely with the Group CFO and Finance Operations & Treasury Manager. This hybrid role combines month‑end close, IFRS‑compliant reporting, and ERP implementation across multiple entities in Lebanon and West Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end close for all group entities (MEP, manufacturing, solar, and hospitality).
• Prepare monthly P&L and balance‑sheet reports using the group chart of accounts.
• Support ERP implementation: data entry, master‑data management, UAT and go‑live activities.
• Track project costs for MEP contracting projects under IFRS 15.
• Post accruals, pre‑payments and month‑end journal entries.
• Assist audit preparation and ensure statutory compliance for Lebanese and African entities.
• Coordinate payment entries and bank reconciliations with the Treasury manager.
• Help build the accounting team as the group scales through 2027.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience in a multi‑entity or group environment.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, especially IFRS 15 and IAS 2.
• Excellent Excel skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting.
• Based in Lebanon and available during standard business hours.
