Group Chief Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a well‑rounded Group Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function across the entire group. The successful candidate will develop accounting strategies, coordinate with senior management, and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate accounting strategy and action plan in coordination with senior management.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and performance measurement models.
• Oversee daily accounting operations including month‑end and year‑end processes, AP/AR, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
• Conduct variance analysis, budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting, and capital asset reconciliations.
• Coordinate annual audits and ensure successful completion with relevant departments.
• Identify system and procedural improvements and initiate corrective actions.
• Maintain fiscal files, ensure compliance with SOPs and regulations, and produce financial reports as needed.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Audit, Business or related field.
• Excellent command of English and Arabic; French is a plus.
• Strong computer skills.
