General Manager – Freight Forwarding (Lebanon)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our freight forwarding business in Lebanon. The role will drive growth, oversee daily operations, and ensure profitability while expanding our regional and international network.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement business strategies to achieve growth targets.
• Manage budgets, P&L, forecasting and financial performance.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
• Coordinate with regional offices and partners to maintain strong global relationships.
• Monitor market trends, identify new business opportunities and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Represent the company with key clients, networks and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Based in Lebanon (mandatory).
• Extensive experience as a General Manager in the freight forwarding industry.
• Proven leadership and people‑management skills, including team development and performance management.
• Strong strategic planning, business development and decision‑making abilities.
• Solid understanding of logistics, freight forwarding, transportation and supply‑chain operations.
• Financial acumen in budgeting, P&L management and performance analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field; MBA is a plus.
• Experience with Middle‑East and international markets; familiarity with industry networks such as WCA is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic and additional languages are assets.
