General Manager – Collision Center

About the role

The General Manager leads the day‑to‑day operations of a Gerber Collision & Glass center, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while meeting key performance and insurance metrics. This senior position oversees budgeting, sales forecasting, staff development, and the overall efficiency of the repair facility.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently across the center.
• Prepare, manage, and monitor the annual and monthly operating budget.
• Forecast, target, and track monthly sales, profit, and expense objectives.
• Conduct formal annual and informal monthly performance reviews for all staff.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable related to the center.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safely equipped repair facility, including paint booth upkeep.
• Provide training, enforce safety gear and dress code compliance.
• Open and close the facility daily according to established procedures.
• Lead daily production meetings to confirm throughput and delivery dates.
• Manage estimates to ensure labor mix aligns with standards and control store capacity.
• Facilitate monthly health & safety and staff meetings, and attend manager and senior leadership sessions.
• Review and act on customer satisfaction (CSI) feedback within 24 hours.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education or equivalent.
• Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment.
• Strong ability to manage budgets, forecast sales, and track performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and team‑coaching skills.
• Commitment to safety standards and facility cleanliness.
