GBV Case Management Officer – Protection

About the role

The GBV Case Management Officer works under the Protection Team Leader to provide case management and psychosocial support to survivors of gender‑based violence, especially women, girls and other vulnerable groups in Lebanon.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver case management services in line with international GBV standards, including needs assessment, action‑plan development, referrals, implementation and follow‑up.
• Provide age‑appropriate counseling for adolescent girls, boys and children, following best practices for child survivors.
• Offer psychosocial support in mobile and static safe spaces, women’s community centres and child‑friendly spaces, including emotional support groups and awareness sessions.
• Record and store GBV data timely in the GBVIMS+ Primero system, adhering to inter‑agency information‑sharing protocols.
• Prepare weekly and monthly work plans for validation by the Protection Team Leader.
• Support monitoring and evaluation activities and report implementation challenges.
• Participate in supervisory meetings to ensure standards of care and effective case management.
• Maintain relationships with partners, community leaders and service providers and contribute to service mapping.

Required profile

• Experience in GBV case management, psychosocial support or related humanitarian protection work.
• Ability to work with diverse populations, including women, girls and children.
• Strong organizational skills for data management and reporting.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the GBVIMS+ Primero information management system.
