Freelance Short-Form Content Strategist & Reels Editor

About the role

Arabian Wanderers, a UAE‑based adventure travel company, is seeking a Freelance Short‑Form Content Strategist & Reels Editor to produce engaging travel reels for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. The role focuses on concept creation, editing, and performance optimisation rather than simple video cutting.

Key responsibilities

• Research high‑performing travel, adventure and lifestyle short‑form formats and trends.
• Develop original Reel concepts with strong opening hooks and create a monthly Reel schedule.
• Provide filming briefs, shot lists and creative direction before trips and shoots.
• Review raw footage, select the strongest stories and edit 12–20 Reels per month.
• Choose suitable audio, add on‑screen text, captions and cover images.
• Analyse Reel performance data and apply insights to improve future content.
• Potentially attend selected trips and content shoots in the UAE.

Required profile

• Proven experience creating high‑performing organic Instagram Reels, TikToks or YouTube Shorts.
• Portfolio with multiple videos that have generated over one million views.
• Deep understanding of hooks, retention, storytelling and shareability.
• Hands‑on editing ability, not just strategy.
• Experience with travel, tourism, hospitality or adventure content is highly preferred.
• Ability to turn raw, user‑generated or professionally filmed footage into compelling stories.
• Strong communication, reliability and consistent turnaround times.
• UAE‑based candidates preferred, but exceptional international applicants will be considered.
