Food Security, Livelihoods, and Social Protection Technical Adviser

About the role

The Food Security, Livelihoods, and Social Protection Technical Adviser will lead Save the Children’s efforts to design, implement and monitor high‑quality social protection, food security, livelihoods and nutrition programmes for vulnerable children and families across Lebanon.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and develop sector strategies for Social Protection, Cash & Voucher Assistance, Food Security, Livelihoods and Nutrition.
• Offer technical input to country annual plans, area plans and sector‑specific planning documents.
• Ensure integration of food security and cash assistance with other programme areas at design and implementation stages.
• Maintain oversight of programme progress, quality standards and data reliability.
• Lead the preparation of technical proposals, fundraising plans and partnership agreements with government, UN agencies, NGOs and local civil society.
• Provide technical support and capacity‑building to field teams in three locations across Lebanon.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in humanitarian social protection, food security, livelihoods or nutrition programming.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑sectoral programmes and develop strategic plans.
• Strong knowledge of the Lebanese context and humanitarian standards, including child safeguarding Level 3.
• Excellent partnership‑building and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
