Firmware Engineer

About the role

MLTP is seeking a skilled embedded firmware engineer to develop low‑level drivers, perform system bring‑up and integrate firmware with hardware across various projects. The role involves designing efficient C/C++ code for microcontrollers and SoCs, collaborating with hardware teams, and ensuring reliable firmware functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded firmware solutions for microcontrollers and system‑on‑chips.
• Perform board‑level initialization, system bring‑up, and hardware‑firmware integration.
• Write modular, reusable C/C++ code and optimize it for performance and resource usage.
• Debug and troubleshoot firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and in‑circuit debuggers.
• Collaborate with testing teams to execute test plans and ensure quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and real‑time operating systems (RTOS).
• Experience with microcontrollers, hardware‑firmware integration and unit testing.
• Effective communication skills in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Low‑level driver development and peripheral interface implementation.
• Communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB and Ethernet.
• Debugging tools: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, in‑circuit debuggers.
• Version control with Git.
