Field Medical Coordinator – National (Lebanon, North)

About the role

The Field Medical Coordinator supports primary health care centers (PHCCs) across northern Lebanon, ensuring services meet Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and WHO quality standards. Working under the Health Coordinator, the role provides clinical mentorship, supervision, and technical guidance to improve service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Implement LPSP components at supported PHCCs in line with MoPH policies.
• Review and approve diagnostic test requests and monitor prescription practices for rational use.
• Engage physicians on MoPH and WHO clinical guidelines and patient management.
• Monitor service quality, identify gaps, and ensure complete medical documentation, including Health Information System (HIS) records.
• Track early warning systems for disease outbreaks and support timely investigations.
• Collaborate with pharmacists to promote rational medicine use.
• Plan and conduct regular field visits, aligning with program work plans.
• Provide technical input on procurement of medical supplies and equipment.
• Report operational or clinical challenges to the Health Coordinator.
