Fiber Optic Team Leader – Field Operations

About the role

The Fiber Optic Team Leader directs field crews in the installation, maintenance and repair of fiber‑optic networks, ensuring work meets project specifications, safety standards and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fiber‑optic installation tasks including cable pulling (underground and aerial), jointing and duct clearing.
• Execute splicing and testing of fiber‑optic cables and verify performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on site promptly.
• Interpret technical drawings, plans and maps to guide field operations.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to field teams.
• Prepare and submit daily reports and required documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in fiber‑optic installation and maintenance.
• Proven expertise in fiber‑optic splicing and testing.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and technical acumen.
• Demonstrated capability to lead and manage field teams.
• Good reporting and documentation skills.
