Facade Design Engineer

About the role

MAS Aluminum, an aluminium and glazing contractor operating in Nigeria, is seeking a Facade Design Engineer to relocate from Lebanon. The engineer will own the complete façade design process, from tender documentation through to shop‑drawings, fabrication and site hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Design window, door, curtain‑wall, ACP cladding and louver systems from architectural drawings.
• Produce detailed shop‑drawings, fabrication drawings and installation details.
• Prepare cutting lists, glass schedules, ACP panel layouts and material take‑offs.
• Perform wind‑load and deflection checks, select profiles, glass, brackets and anchors.
• Prepare technical submittals, coordinate approvals with consultants and support tender estimations.
• Resolve factory and site queries, conduct site measurements and issue as‑built drawings at close‑out.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• 5+ years experience with an aluminium and glazing contractor or fabricator in Lebanon or the GCC.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Willingness to relocate to Nigeria.

Required skills

• Strong AutoCAD skills.
• Experience with stick curtain‑wall systems and ACP cassette detailing.
• Ability to run wind‑load and deflection checks and justify system selections.
• Familiarity with profile optimisation software (e.g., Orgadata LogiKal) and 3D modelling tools such as Revit or SketchUp.
