Fabrication Lab Instructor – Local Consultant

About the role

The Fabrication Lab Instructor will work as a local consultant for the Siblin Training Center, delivering hands‑on robotics and digital‑fabrication training to UNRWA beneficiaries in Lebanon.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare training curricula, materials and modules in coordination with the Lab Tech Expert.
• Design and lead advanced workshops on robotics, coding, microcontroller platforms (Arduino) and digital‑fabrication equipment.
• Deliver training that integrates 2D/3D design software (AutoCAD, Illustrator, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, Photoshop) with CNC, laser, vinyl cutters, 3D printers, DTF & UV printers.
• Provide hands‑on instruction in assembling robotics kits, soldering, wiring, circuit assembly and using power supplies and oscilloscopes for testing and troubleshooting.
• Guide beneficiaries during machine operation, monitor progress, document outcomes and submit attendance and progress reports.
• Offer technical support and troubleshooting for equipment during sessions and follow‑up assistance after training.
• Ensure compliance with Fab Lab safety rules and UNRWA regulations.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience delivering robotics or digital‑fabrication training.
• Proven ability to work with youth and support beneficiaries in practical skill development.
• Familiarity with UNRWA or similar humanitarian training environments is an advantage.

Required skills

• Robotics programming and microcontroller platforms (Arduino).
• 2D/3D design software: AutoCAD, Illustrator, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, Photoshop.
• Operation of CNC machines, laser cutters, vinyl cutters, 3D printers, DTF & UV printers.
• Soldering, wiring, circuit assembly, use of power supplies and oscilloscopes.
• Troubleshooting and technical support for fabrication equipment.
