Experienced External Auditor

About the role

KPMG is seeking an Experienced External Auditor to join its audit team in Beirut. You will work on financial services engagements, delivering high‑quality audit services that meet stakeholder and regulator expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide audit services for financial services clients, including preparation, delivery, reporting and evaluation of audit engagements.
• Plan engagement objectives and audit strategy in line with professional standards.
• Assess audit work requirements, considering all relevant regulations.
• Supervise and develop junior team members by delegating tasks and offering guidance.
• Write audit reports and present findings to clients and senior management.
• Apply complex accounting and auditing concepts to client situations.
• Monitor engagement progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Identify risks, design audit procedures and communicate them to the team.
• Maintain productive relationships with audit client personnel throughout the year.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Performance Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in external audit of financial statements and related disclosures.
• Strong understanding of audit regulations and professional standards.
• Ability to supervise and mentor junior auditors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
• Analytical mindset with the capacity to assess risk and design audit procedures.
