Enterprise Architect – Damascus (Onsite)

About the role

The Enterprise Architect will lead the design and governance of a large‑scale enterprise business application platform based in Damascus. The role ensures alignment of business goals with application, data, integration, security and infrastructure architectures while supporting high availability and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the end‑to‑end enterprise architecture blueprint for the platform.
• Define target architecture across business, application, integration, data, security and infrastructure layers.
• Lead architecture governance, technical design reviews and decision‑making processes.
• Ensure the platform meets enterprise‑scale requirements for performance, resilience and operational readiness.
• Review and guide high‑level and low‑level designs, integration plans, data migration approaches and deployment models.
• Support integration with ERP, IAM, telecom/network systems and enterprise integration layers.
• Guide legacy system transition, migration, coexistence and decommissioning strategies.
• Identify architecture risks, technical debt and scalability gaps, proposing improvement actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in enterprise architecture, telecom infrastructure or large‑scale platform delivery.
• Strong understanding of telecom operations, governance and service delivery environments.
• Experience with large transformation programs in the Middle East or Asia is a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with enterprise platforms such as Odoo, ERPNext, Oracle EBS/Fusion, SAP, ServiceNow or Maximo.
• Architectural frameworks and certifications: TOGAF.
• Cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Project and service management certifications: ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2.
