Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our contracting team. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, code‑compliant electrical designs while collaborating with senior engineers and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret project specifications, identify relevant codes and standards, and clarify design inputs with senior staff.
• Plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines set by the supervisor.
• Create design models, calculation notes, and detailed drawings according to the design manual and project concepts.
• Prepare material take‑offs, ensuring quantities stay within budget.
• Produce as‑built drawings and assist in developing Operations & Maintenance manuals.
• Communicate technical information via internal emails, meetings, and presentations.
• Guide junior engineers and CAD operators, ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
• Perform QA/QC checks on own and peer designs to detect and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Electrical Engineering degree (Master’s a plus).
• 3–6 years of experience in the contracting/construction field.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (French a plus).
• Strong attention to detail, safety‑focused, and able to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Design and analysis expertise.
• Practical application of electrical codes and standards.
• Design optimization for construction projects.
• Understanding of engineering standards and QA/QC processes.
