Driver – Transport Staff & Cargo for IRC Lebanon

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Lebanon is seeking a professional driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for staff and cargo across the country. Working under the Logistics and Fleet Management team, the driver will support humanitarian operations by moving personnel, materials, and supplies in accordance with IRC policies and Lebanese traffic regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Transport authorized IRC personnel and cargo to project sites, warehouses, and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate vehicle log sheets and submit monthly reports.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks, basic inspections, and ensure compliance with fleet standards.
• Follow IRC procedures for accidents, incidents, or breakdowns and report promptly.
• Be available for field movements, including inter‑office travel and overnight stays when required.
• Travel throughout Lebanon, subject to IRC security clearance and authorization.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of professional driving experience.
• Valid public driving license at all times.
• Fluent in Arabic; basic working knowledge of English preferred.
• Strong time‑management, reliability, and professional conduct.
• Familiarity with NGO or humanitarian operations is an asset.

Required skills

• Safe vehicle operation in compliance with Lebanese traffic laws.
• Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance reporting.
• Accurate record‑keeping for vehicle movements.
