Director of Programme Development and Quality

About the role

The Director of Programme Development and Quality (DPDQ) is a senior leader within Save the Children’s Lebanon Country Office. Reporting to the Country Director, the DPDQ shapes and oversees the design, coordination and delivery of high‑impact, evidence‑based programmes for children across sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the Country Office Impact Model and Country Strategy Plans.
• Ensure the design, delivery and quality of cross‑sectoral humanitarian and emergency response programmes.
• Oversee a robust RMEAL system, promote data‑driven decision‑making and share evidence globally.
• Mentor and coach technical advisors and specialists to uphold global standards and KPIs.
• Represent Save the Children with government bodies, donors, partners and peer agencies.
• Drive strategic positioning with donors and lead project design aligned with child‑rights principles.

Required profile

• Senior leader with proven experience in programme development, quality assurance and humanitarian response.
• Demonstrated ability to work with complexity, manage multiple tasks and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong commitment to child rights and safeguarding (Level 3 contact with children).
