Director of Executive Education

About the role

The Director of Executive Education leads the executive education portfolio of the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB) at the American University of Beirut. Reporting directly to the Dean, the role shapes strategy, drives growth, and ensures the programme’s relevance to regional market needs and global leadership trends.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a long‑term strategy for executive education that aligns with OSB’s mission and market demands.
• Define the portfolio’s vision, positioning, growth roadmap and performance targets, monitoring financial health and strategic fit.
• Identify emerging market opportunities and translate them into commercially viable learning solutions.
• Lead business development and go‑to‑market activities to expand revenue and cultivate corporate and institutional clients across MENA and internationally.
• Collaborate with faculty and subject‑matter experts to design rigorous, experiential programmes.
• Integrate blended, digital, and emerging technology approaches to enhance learning outcomes.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with corporations, government bodies and international academic institutions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in executive education or comparable professional development environments.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing growth strategies.
• Strong business development skills and ability to engage corporate and institutional clients.
• Experience working with faculty and designing high‑impact learning solutions.
• Ability to foster partnerships and enhance the school’s reputation regionally and globally.
