DevOps Support Engineer – Operations (Beirut)

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Support Engineer to join a high‑impact IS Operations team at a leading financial technology company. This support‑focused role ensures the stability and continuity of mission‑critical platforms and infrastructure serving global managed services teams and end‑clients.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support in‑house platforms, microservices, and containerised services running on AWS.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot software, infrastructure, and operational issues.
• Handle incidents, service requests, and change‑management tickets via ITSM tools.
• Respond to automated alerts, maintain system health and service continuity.
• Execute Saturday production releases with accuracy and accountability.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for recurring issues and escalate complex cases.
• Conduct routine maintenance, software updates, and security patching.
• Maintain and improve operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge‑base articles.
• Collaborate during shift handovers to ensure seamless operational continuity.
• Proactively recommend process improvements and operational enhancements.
• Support end‑users while consistently meeting SLA response and resolution targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT Support, DevOps Support, Systems Operations, or a similar role.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (deployment, monitoring, basic troubleshooting).
• Working knowledge of core AWS services.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools and operational workflows (incident, change, service request management).
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
• Scripting knowledge in Bash or Python (considered a plus).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
