DevOps Engineer – Azure (Bids & Tenders Platform)

About the role

Aspire Software seeks a hands‑on DevOps Engineer to own the Infrastructure‑as‑Code and CI/CD foundation for its SaaS Bids & Tenders platform. You will define, deploy, and evolve a multi‑region Azure environment across Canada and the United States, supporting development, QA, and production workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the Azure IaC codebase (Bicep/Terraform), ensuring all resources are managed as code and drift is eliminated.
• Design, build, and operate GitHub Actions pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments, using OIDC authentication and safety gates such as plan/what‑if reviews.
• Manage Azure services including App Service, Functions, Logic Apps, AKS, Front Door, WAF, networking, Key Vault, SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Service Bus, Event Grid, and monitoring tools.
• Support occasional database tasks, automate routine operations with PowerShell, Bash, and Azure CLI, and leverage AI‑assisted tooling to accelerate work.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to keep environments reproducible, stable, and production‑like, and lead incident response and post‑mortems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of DevOps or cloud infrastructure experience, primarily on Microsoft Azure.
• Proven track record delivering production‑grade IaC and CI/CD pipelines.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure services (App Service, Functions, AKS, Front Door, WAF, Virtual Networks, Key Vault, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management).
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: Bicep, Terraform.
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, OIDC/workload identity federation.
• Container technologies: Docker, Helm, Azure Container Registry.
• Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI.
• Observability: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics (KQL), Managed Grafana.
• Experience with AI‑assisted tooling or agentic workflows is a plus.
