Data Management Consultant

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Data Management Consultant to support its Shelter, Site Management and Coordination (SMC), and Housing, Land and Property (HLP) programmes in Lebanon. Working under the Programme Coordinator and the SMC Information Management Officer, the consultant will implement information management functions across multiple units.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data collection tools and databases (KoboToolbox/ODK, data entry templates) ensuring compliance with IOM Data Protection Principles.
• Perform data cleaning, validation, deduplication and consolidation of datasets from field teams and partners, documenting procedures.
• Create information management products such as Power BI dashboards, reports, factsheets, visualisations and ArcGIS/QGIS maps following IOM reporting standards.
• Coordinate timely release of information products, manage version control and adhere to data sharing protocols.
• Maintain data storages, user access rights, geodatabases and upload datasets to corporate platforms.
• Prepare technical guidance (SOPs, user guides, data dictionaries) and deliver training to staff and partners.
• Support monitoring and evaluation by contributing to indicator formulation and verifying reported figures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Statistics, Geography, Social Sciences or related field with at least four years relevant experience (or high school diploma with six years experience).
• Experience in humanitarian data collection, cleaning, analysis and production of information management products.
• Fluency in English and native Arabic speaking.
• Knowledge of the Lebanese migration context and experience working with vulnerable populations is an advantage.
