Counter Sales Associate – Food Service

About the role

The Counter Sales Associate is responsible for delivering high‑level service to walk‑in customers and ensuring that all food items displayed at the counter are sold, prepared, and served on time. This role combines customer interaction, order processing, and strict hygiene standards in a fast‑paced food service environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and serve walk‑in customers, providing product knowledge and adhering to service procedures.
• Process orders from waiters, arrange them according to service standards, and ensure timely delivery.
• Receive daily deliveries, verify items against specifications, display them in the presentation fridge, and maintain regular restocking while upholding hygiene and presentation standards.
• Participate in opening and closing duties, following internal norms and procedures.
• Maintain and report daily records such as training logs, taste panels, and wastage forms; promptly report complaints or operational issues.
• Handle cash payments, exchanges, and transactions in line with company policies.
• Place internal product orders and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare and wrap takeaway orders, including special customer requests.
• Ensure clear handover communication via the logbook and maintain a clean environment using the “Clean as you go” policy.
• Complete monthly inventory of disposable consumables.

Required profile

• Fluency in English.
• High school diploma.
• 0–1 year of experience in customer service or a similar role.
• Experience with chocolate handling is a plus.
