Compliance and Reporting Officer

About the role

The Compliance and Reporting Officer ensures that cash, commodity, food and livelihood programmes adhere to World Vision global standards, donor regulations, sector best practices and audit recommendations. Working across the Response portfolio, the officer builds capacity with project leads, leads monthly reconciliations and prepares required internal and external reports.

Key responsibilities

• Review World Vision and donor standards to assess financial and programmatic risk across cash, commodities, food and livelihood projects.
• Develop and implement a sustainable risk‑management strategy aligned with global standards and audit findings.
• Validate proposal packages for operational compliance and ensure process standardisation and SOPs across grants.
• Act as the focal point for internal and external audit missions, leading audit preparation and spot‑checks.
• Oversee project closure, securing all necessary sign‑offs and ensuring stock management complies with donor regulations.
• Verify supporting documents from local partners for service delivery and payment issuance.
• Compile, analyse and reconcile cash, commodity, food and livelihood data on a monthly basis.
• Monitor physical inventory, update loss claims and asset registers, and ensure accurate reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance, audit preparation and financial reconciliation within humanitarian or development programmes.
• Strong understanding of donor regulations, World Vision standards and sector best practices.
• Ability to work closely with project leads, local partners and auditors to embed risk‑management controls.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
