Community Outreach & Proposal Writing Officer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, organized and strong communicator to join our team as a Community Outreach & Proposal Writing Officer. In this position you will build relationships with community stakeholders, identify collaboration opportunities and lead the creation of high‑quality fundraising documents.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships with community members, local organisations and other stakeholders.
• Represent the organisation at meetings, events and networking activities.
• Identify community needs and potential areas for intervention.
• Lead the preparation of proposals, concept notes, funding applications and project briefs.
• Research donors, funding calls and partnership opportunities.
• Coordinate with program, finance and management teams to gather required information.
• Ensure proposals are accurate, well‑structured and submitted on time.
• Maintain a database of funding opportunities, deadlines and follow‑ups.
• Support the preparation of donor reports and external communications when needed.

• Ability to understand community needs and translate them into clear project ideas.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
