Community Mobilizer – Protection (3 openings)

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking three Community Mobilizers to support protection activities for displaced populations in Lebanon. You will serve as the primary protection liaison in your assigned area, building trust with communities, identifying protection risks and facilitating referrals.

Key responsibilities

• Attend capacity‑building trainings as required.
• Identify, safely disclose and refer cases of child protection, gender‑based violence and other protection risks.
• Conduct community‑based psychosocial support (CB‑PSS) sessions for children and caregivers.
• Fill individual surveys, assessments and regular reporting tools.
• Facilitate focus group discussions and awareness‑raising sessions.
• Maintain strong relationships with community members, local stakeholders and DRC staff.
• Disseminate updated service maps and referral pathways at the community level.

Required profile

• Adherence to DRC Code of Conduct and PSEA policy.
• Good knowledge of the local context and area.
• High school diploma (minimum); bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field preferred.
• At least one year of experience in humanitarian or protection work.
• Strong communication, teamwork and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive information.
• Understanding of child protection and psychological first‑aid principles.
